Are aching legs a symptom of cancer?

General aches in the leg are not a key symptom of cancer, according to the American Cancer Society. Pain that is bone and joint related is a possible symptom of bone cancer.

One of the symptoms of bone cancer is pain in the bone and joints accompanied by swelling and problems with movement, explains Better Health Channel. Bone cancer is very rare, so a general aching in the leg is probably due to a different condition.

The general signs of cancer include unexplained weight loss, fever, fatigue and skin changes, notes the American Cancer Society. More specific symptoms include changes in bowel or bladder habits, sores that do not heal, unusual bleeding or discharge, indigestion or trouble swallowing, and a nagging cough or hoarseness.
