The general signs of cancer include unexplained weight loss, fever, fatigue and skin changes, notes the American Cancer Society. More specific symptoms include changes in bowel or bladder habits, sores that do not heal, unusual bleeding or discharge, indigestion or trouble swallowing, and a nagging cough or hoarseness.
